Vote No on H.R. 7
The House Ways and Means Committee has proposed a version of a new federal transportation bill that could be extremely damaging to some of the strategic transportation investments that Michigan needs to be making. Please help us say "NO" to this backwards step today.
H.R. 7:
- Cuts funding for road and bridge repair and maitenance.
- Eliminates dedicated funding for alternative transportation spending--for instance, Safe Routes to Schools--that making walking and biking safer.
- Doesn't do enough to create jobs.
- Eliminates dedicated funding for public transportation.
In short: H.R. 7 would severely disrupt Michigan's ability to make the kind of transportation investments that our state needs.
We need your help to oppose this bill, which is being considered right now. Please send a letter today to your Representative to say, "Vote NO on H.R. 7."
