Climb the Big Sable Point Lighthouse

The lighthouse is located 7 miles north of Ludington on Lighthouse Road. It is 56 foot tall lighthouse completed in 1867. It is still fully functioning until today.

Visitors can climb the 112 steps to the top for panoramic views of Ludington and its beaches. 112 steps sound like a bit of a workout, but you won’t regret seeing the view on top!

Tours run daily from 10am – 5pm between May and October. You will have chance to look at the historical side of the lighthouse as well.

There is a small museum inside. It displays living quarters and tools of former lighthouse keepers
